Designer furniture with plenty of room for creativity
The simple basic shape of a table offers designers plenty of scope for creativity. This is also demonstrated by the leading manufacturers of the various table types:
Kristalia - Designer tables for a lively everyday life
Kristalia offers high quality tables "Made in Italy". Kristalia is always on the lookout for new ideas. Among others, the tables from the Sushi, Thin-K and Nori series stand out. The well-known Kristalia Elephant range is also complemented by matching tables, which also work without the Elephant Chair. To make everyday life a little bit more lively, Kristalia definitely succeeds with its excellent range of fixed and extendable tables.
Conmoto - cosy designer lounge tables
Conmoto is a German manufacturer of designer furniture, which has become known above all for its high-quality fireplaces and weatherproof garden furniture. However, the range is much wider. For example, the Pad work and dining tables are part of the Conmoto range. They were created in collaboration with star designer Werner Aisslinger. The RIVA Lounge series and the associated lounge table, which are not only intended for outdoor use, create a cosy atmosphere.
Arper - clear, direct, an Arper design table
Tables from Arper have a clear, direct design. Like the Nuur tables or the tables of the Gher collection. These are available in many different designs due to the construction method. Practically speaking, they can be used not only as a dining table, but also as a work table. In order to guarantee a great variety, the company works with new well-known designers again and again.
&tradition - a designer table with "pencil legs"
The Danish company relies entirely on Scandinavian traditions, but likes to reinvent them. An example of the retro look is the Fly series. The low coffee table is a real eye-catcher for the living room. But of course there are also dining and working tables from &tradition. The Hoof tables, whose table legs look like sharpened pencils, are great.
Magis - simple design furniture made of plastic
Design furniture from Magis is mainly made of plastic. The designers are also happy to experiment with wood or aluminium. One of Magis' best-known series is the Air series, which of course also includes a table and a coffee table. The tables, as well as the chairs of the series, convince by their simplicity.
The right care for wooden tables
Many coffee tables, side tables or dining tables are made of wood. When cleaning, you should be a little careful to maintain the beautiful look in the long term. It is best to wipe the table with a slightly moistened cloth. A chamois leather is also well suited for this. Wipe in the direction of the grain of the wood. With coarse-pored woods such as ash or oak, you have to be very careful when it comes to moisture, because dust particles can settle in the pores of the wood if it is damp. Larger
stains on the wooden table can be treated with neutral soap. Simply rub the stain with the soap and then wipe off. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents on painted tables. These attack the paint much too strongly. Waxed surfaces can be treated with beeswax emulsion.
The right table height and width
Whether desk or dining table, the right height of the designer furniture is important for sitting comfortably. Above all, a table that is too low hits your back because you have to sit too curved. Of course, the best table height also depends on the seat height of the chairs and your own height.
Especially in a household with several people, you have to find a compromise height for the dining table that is acceptable for all family members. A table at which you can eat comfortably usually has a height between 73 and 75 cm.
plays an important role in the dining table.
You should calculate a width of at least 60 cm per person. In case of doubt, open the table a little so that you can eat well at the table with many people. If only rarely all places are occupied, however, you come well with 60 cm.
